Kimble Photography began in 2009, shortly after Marvin Kimble earned his Master’s degree in Communications from Ithaca College. What started as a love for storytelling through the camera has grown into a family owned photography business built around connection, creativity, and the belief that life’s best moments deserve to be remembered beautifully.

Photography has always been more than just taking pictures for us. It is about noticing what matters. The laugh between family members. The quiet look before a ceremony. The energy of an event. The personality in a portrait. The small moments that may not seem big at the time, but later become the photographs people love most.

Over the years, Marvin has worked across many areas of photography, including photojournalism, portraits, weddings, events, families, landscapes, pets, and action sports. That range of experience gives Kimble Photography a natural and thoughtful style that feels polished without feeling stiff.

Our goal is simple. We want to create photographs that feel honest, timeless, and worth keeping. Whether we are photographing a family at the beach, a couple on their wedding day, a professional headshot, a senior portrait, or a special event, we take pride in making the experience relaxed, personal, and enjoyable.

We take our clients seriously, but we never want the process to feel overly formal or forced. The best photographs usually happen when people feel comfortable, natural, and like themselves. That is always the goal.

Behind the Camera

Orange County photographer Marvin Kimble has spent years capturing real moments with a thoughtful eye and a strong sense of story.

Marvin began his photography career in photojournalism during his undergraduate studies and continued building his craft through work with the U.S. Ski Team, Deseret Morning News, Provo Daily Herald, Ithaca College’s The Ithacan, Brigham Young University’s The Daily Universe, and Capture My Utah.

His experience as a ski and snowboard photographer at Snowbird Ski Resort, along with his lifelong love of action sports, gives him a unique perspective behind the camera. He knows how to anticipate movement, emotion, timing, and the small in between moments that often become the most meaningful photographs.

That background carries into every session. Whether Marvin is photographing a family, a wedding, an event, a portrait, or an active moment, he looks for more than the obvious picture. He looks for the feeling behind it.

Marvin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Brigham Young University and a Master of Science in Communications from Ithaca College.

Janni Kimble

Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes, Janni Kimble helps keep Kimble Photography organized, thoughtful, and personal. She supports scheduling, creative design, image editing, and the many details that help each client experience feel smooth and cared for.

Janni has always encouraged Marvin’s passion for photography and shares the same love for preserving memories through still images. Her eye for detail, organization, and care for people are a big part of what makes Kimble Photography feel personal from start to finish.

Before focusing on family and supporting Kimble Photography, Janni worked for 13 years as a veterinary technician and practice manager. That experience brought together organization, patience, compassion, and attention to detail, all qualities that still show up in the way she helps care for clients today.

Janni holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Brigham Young University and is also proudly employed full time by Luke, Shane, and Aiva Kimble as their mom.
