Laguna Beach has recently been in the media for its limitations on drone flying and event photographing in public locations without permits. Drones are great, but nothing beats an old fashioned family portrait session at the Montage Laguna Beach.

Photographing at the Montage is incredible. The authentic beach atmosphere and the smell of the salt mist in the air make for a dreamy portrait session. While many photographers are cluttering around the famous locations at the Montage we usually avoid those locations for peace of mind and to decrease the stress of an already stressful day.

Photo Shoot Without the Stress

Photoshoots are stressful for everyone, they need to look their best at precisely the right moment. Decreasing stress levels by staying away from the crowded areas helped me as a photographer and the family. With stress free views, no lines to wait we captures some dynamic family images.

With no worries and the Lion King Song “Acuna Ma Tat a” in my head, we made some incredible photos together. Both the family and I were pleased. Their baby girl was adorable and made our job so much easier.

To top it off everyone in the family was a delight to work with! They were all in love with that squishy baby girl and she was definitely the center of the photo shoot! Shooting extended families is always such a joy. We become acquainted with all types of families and it is so wonderful to learn the history and personality of each one!
